International postgraduate scholarship winners welcoming ceremony

Some 33 nations were represented at an event for Queen Mary’s international postgraduate scholarship winners last week. Around 50 scholars from all three faculties attended the ceremony – which was intended to mark their success in securing international scholarships and to formally welcome them to Queen Mary.

Recent geography graduate, Tabitha Shell, has won the RGS-IBG Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group Dissertation Prize for her dissertation Emotional geographies of breastfeeding: private and public spaces of support and stress, taking home a prize of £60.
