Student update: Semester-based exams from 2019/20

From next academic year (2019/20), Queen Mary will move to a system of semester-based exams. This means that modules taught in Semester 1 will be examined in January. Modules taught across Semester 1 and 2, or modules taught only in Semester 2, will be examined in May.

Inquiry into racial harassment in higher education: call for responses

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has launched an inquiry into racial harassment in higher education. Racial harassment is not only unlawful, but it has a clear impact on students and staff. This inquiry includes a survey open to students and staff, the results of which will support the EHRC to develop recommendations for addressing the issue.
