Applying for ‘special examination arrangements’ – deadline Friday 15 March

The deadline to apply for arrangements for the main end of year exams is Friday 15 March. (Different arrangements apply to undergraduates in the School of Medicine and Dentistry). These provisions are considered reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities, mental health diagnoses and specific learning difficulties (eg dyslexia) under the terms of the Equality Act.

Find out how to apply

Students with existing arrangements should have received an email from the Disability and Dyslexia Service which confirmed what those arrangements are, and what to do if you want to ask for something different.

If you are unsure about your agreed exam arrangements, these will be listed on your MySIS record – you can access this by navigating to the Disability and Dyslexia Service page within MySIS. This will also tell you how to request any changes should you want to.

The Disability and Dyslexia Service will also run two drop-in sessions in the week running up to the deadline where you can apply for arrangements. Please note that you will need to provide medical or diagnostic evidence. The details of these two sessions are as follows:

  • Date: Wednesday 13 March
    Time: 2-4pm
Location: Room FB 3.27 (third floor of Bancroft Building)
  • Date: Friday 15 March
    Time: 2–4pm
Location: Room FB 1.02.6A (first floor of Bancroft Building)

For more information about our policies and procedures for students applying for exam arrangements please visit the relevant page on the Disability and Dyslexia Service website.
