Trial extended hours for QM Social
We’re pleased to introduce extended opening hours for QM Social at Mile End campus on a trial basis from Monday 20 April, giving students more time and flexibility to use the space throughout the week.
Opening Hours
- Monday - Wednesday and Friday: 9am-11pm
- Thursday: 9am-5pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 9am-11pm
Facilities
Please note that QM Social does not have toilets available (aside from an accessible toilet). Students can use nearby facilities at Mile End Library during library opening hours.
Using the space
QM Social is a student-only space and is not open to external visitors or guests. The space is designed for relaxing, socialising, and taking time out, so we ask everyone to use it respectfully and help maintain a positive environment for all.
Please also help keep the space clean and tidy for everyone by disposing of all rubbish in the bins provided and leaving the area as you found it. Keeping shared spaces clean is important for comfort, wellbeing, and ensuring the space remains welcoming for all users.
For safety reasons, the rear door leading into Bancroft Building is alarmed and designated for emergency use only. Opening this door will trigger an alarm, and any non-emergency use is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. This door must only be used in genuine emergency situations.
Security operates a 24/7 presence on campus.
Important: These extended hours are being trialled and will be kept under review. They may be reduced or adjusted if there are any issues with inappropriate behaviour or misuse of the space.
