Take part in International Pronouns Day 2020 - call for videos

It is International Pronouns Day on Wednesday 21 October. To celebrate and raise awareness of this important day we are looking for students and staff to submit a video of a couple of seconds telling us what your pronouns are to be included in our 'Why Pronouns Matter' video.

Published:

Queen Mary's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team hope that this video will help to raise awareness of the use of different pronouns, why they matter and what students and staff can do to help make a more inclusive work and study environment.

You can read more about why pronouns matter [PDF 87KB].

What we need from you:

A short video (maximum of 5 seconds) saying what your pronouns are (‘My pronouns are ____/____)

Your name (to be included alongside your pronouns at the bottom of your clip)

Top tips for recording your video:

  • Film your video using a phone or computer.
  • Find an interesting location for your video, this could be at home or while out and about
Always film your video landscape – that means holding your phone sideways.

More advice on creating your video can be found here:
