Student Parents and Carers Working Group

Share your experiences as a student parent and or carer at Queen Mary and receive a £10 voucher in return!

To make a more inclusive environment for students, Queen Mary has established a Student Parents and Carers Working Group. The purpose of this working group is to consider and develop an institution-wide provision to support our student parents and carers. This would include students at all levels (UG, PGT and PGR) and would consider students who are already parents and/or carers of adults as well as those who become parents and carers during their time at Queen Mary. The aim is to support students’ rights as parents and carers and supports them in their educational journey.

We acknowledge the importance of student voices and experience in this process, and we are committed to co-creation with students at the forefront. To do so, we are hosting a series of focus groups to enable students to give their opinion, expertise, and share your experiences on the subject. The focus groups will be a way for the Working Group to collect data and insights that will feedback to the larger strategic aims of this project. This is your opportunity to give feedback in a confidential environment.
