Queen Mary is using student feedback to guide our upgrade of affordable student accommodation on campus.
Working closely with our Students’ Union (SU), Queen Mary has developed a major upgrade of affordable accommodation over the summer of 2021.
We recognise the challenges that the past year has brought for our students. We continue to listen very closely to feedback from our students on all aspects of their experience, including regarding their accommodation. Over the summer we will be investing £1.8m to upgrade our affordable accommodation.
We will be refitting kitchens and bathrooms, replacing furniture, and redecorating in rooms and communal areas.
It has been incredibly valuable to work with our students, through the SU, on these plans. To help ensure we continue to work in this way, we have set up a forum with our SU, and dedicated time in relevant committee meetings, to help ensure that we continue to hear and act on student feedback in the coming academic year and beyond.
