Full scholarships available for masters degree study in China in 2023

The Global Opportunities Office is promoting scholarships in association with the China Scholarship Council to students interested in studying at one of Queen Mary’s prestigious partner institutions in China in 2023/24.

The Scholarships are offered by the Chinese Government and will cover the entire duration of study in China. The opportunity could suit in particular students who graduate in July 2023 and who wish to pursue a masters degree in China or undertake a year of Chinese language study after graduation. Please note that this scholarship is only available to Queen Mary students graduating in July 2023. 

The following courses of study are available through the scholarship:

  • A programme of Chinese Language study (one year)
  • A full masters degree programme taught in English (one or two years)
  • A full masters degree programme taught in Chinese (usually two years, preceded by one year of Chinese language where required).

Scholarships include registration, tuition fees, medical insurance and accommodation, but students will be required to cover their own travel costs. 

Queen Mary partners with many prestigious institutions located in a wide range of cities and regions, including Beijing, Chengdu, Changsha, Xi’an, Nanchang, Shanghai, Xiamen and Zhejiang.

The application deadline is 10 February 2023.
