Congratulations to Chris Stone, Coach of QM Vipers, who has been appointed by the British American Football Association (BAFA) as their new Women’s National Programme Head Coach.

Chris has spent the past four years as Head Coach at Queen Mary, as well as coaching defensive backs for the London Warriors.

He will continue to coach at Queen Mary alongside his new role.

On his appointment, Chris said: ''Becoming the Head Coach at Queen Mary was a major development for me stepping into that type of role. At the same time, it was my first coaching position in the UK and that required me to improve upon my communication skills because I was now working with players that had a completely different level of experience and knowledge of the game compared to who I had previously coached back in Ohio. It certainly has been a learning curve, but with the support of great assistant coaches and players eager to learn, I've become a better listener and teacher, which is ultimately what I think the purpose of a good coach is. This experience and personal development have put me in a position to be the best version of myself as I take on working with the GB Women's National Programme."
