Queen Mary's Student Welfare and Global Engagement teams wrote to our student community with connections to Sudan highlighting support available.
Dear Student,
We are reaching out to offer our thoughts and support for anyone who has been affected the current situation in Sudan. We understand the immense emotional impact this may be having, and our Advice and Counselling service is available to provide you with emotional support.
The service can offer in-person or online appointments and you can request an appointment with one of the counsellors by completing the self-referral form which is available via MySIS (click on the Student Services/SEC Online tab at the top and select ‘Submit a request for counselling or mental health advice’) and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
The Welfare and International Student Advisers in the Advice and Counselling Service can provide specialist advice on a range of practical issues including money and Student immigration permission. If you would like to access practical support at any time during your studies, please complete this contact form.
Best wishes,
The Student Welfare and Global Engagement teams
