2026 UG Prospectus and marketing campaign photoshoot

Queen Mary is currently in the process of developing a new campaign concept. The new student-focused concept aims to celebrate the different students, people and communities which give Queen Mary its strength.

Published:

Through the use of powerful, iconic photography, we want to celebrate our diverse community and tell the inspiring stories of the students who make Queen Mary a unique place to study. We want to show the broad and unique qualities that set Queen Mary students apart; be that their background, experience, or culture. And how these unique qualities are what gives them, and our University its strength.

What we are looking for

We are searching for students from across all subject areas to feature in our new student recruitment marketing campaign and the 2026 UG Prospectus.

Students need to:

  • Be happy for their image and story to be featured extensively in Queen Mary marketing campaigns and across media channels (as above).
  • Have a unique/inspiring story to tell, or overcome difficulties to get to Queen Mary, have a unique world perspective or experience, achieved success, or have made an impact on others/the world.
  • Who are comfortable in front of the camera and having their photo taken.
  • Be available for approx. 2 hours to be photographed and interviewed on Wednesday 18 December, or w/c 20 January (date TBC).

Our campaigns run across a range of media which can include:

  • Paid and organic social media (TikTok, Instagram, Meta)
  • Printed publications including prospectuses and events materials
  • Video and photography featured in email comms and on our website
  • Display and occasional outdoor advertising

On the day

We are planning to shoot with a professional photographer on campus. This is likely to involve professional make-up and a stylist (TBC). Students will be required to bring a few clothing options with them, which must not include items with large logos or branding.

Behind-the-scenes

We also plan to capture behind the scenes photography, video, and content for our socials throughout the day.

We are unable to offer students payment for the photo shoot, however participants will be given access to their professional photos for personal use, and each will receive a £20 gift voucher as a thank you.

If you are interested in taking part in this opportunity, please complete our form by Friday 13 December. Contact Andrea Jenaro – a.jenaro@qmul.ac.uk (Head of Content and Brand) or Alison Orange – a.orange@qmul.ac.uk (Campaigns and Content Manager) if you have any questions.
