The Buddy Scheme has been a tremendous help. I was worried my year out would push me behind students who had enrolled, directly after A-levels, but the Buddy Scheme helped me adjust to university a lot quicker than I thought.
Zainab has been very helpful; she’s suggested some resources to use for our modules, offered tips on how to accel throughout the degree and has been supportive towards her mentees.
I think this programme should continue with what it’s doing as it has made my university experience less daunting and I think it could do the same for future students.
