QProjects testimonial: Rosie Vincent – Rosetta Arts

Rosie Vincent comments on her time volunteeting at Rosetta Arts as part of the QProjects programme.

Published:

Rosie, who studies English and Drama at QMUL, volunteered at Rosetta Arts for six weeks this summer as a Marketing Project Leader. Rosetta Art Centre is a visual art centre based in east London established in 1993. Rosetta Arts seeks to transform lives by bringing down barriers and providing access to quality visual art education for children, young people and adults.

As the Marketing Project Leader, Rosie was involved with planning and devising marketing strategies and the promotion of the centre to other organisations at local events. She was also in charge of implementing a social media strategy, and creating marketing literature.

Since her project, Rosie has secured a role as a part-time PA to the CEO of Rosetta Arts and has been encouraged to apply for STEP, which is a year-long internship between two creative/cultural organisations such as Bow Arts, Sadlers Wells Theatre, London College of Fashion and Rosetta Arts.

"It was great being able to have free reign on the charity’s Instagram account which allowed me to implement a social media strategy based around the themes of each week. I enjoyed being able to be creative whilst still completing tasks. I have also made very valuable friendships and professional relationships and have enjoyed being part of the team."
