Find a safe and welcoming space at the Chaplaincy

Happy LGBTQA+ History Month! Here at the Chaplaincy, we are working with the University to support our LGBTQA+ staff and students by offering a safe and welcoming space for all Queen Mary students and staff.

Ella Sharples, Chaplain at St Benet's

Although we cannot currently offer a physical space in at St Benet's Ella Sharples, the Anglican Chaplain is available to talk with, for help and advice, to share your experiences and offer a listening ear. For one-to-one support contact us by emailing e.sharples@qmul.ac.uk or you can phone/message Ella on 07740 547689.

You can book a one-to-one Zoom meeting with Ella at least 24-hours in advance.

About Ella 

Ella is an ordained Anglican priest, a trained life coach, mother to four big children and grandmother to four small children. She has more than 20 years of experience in pastoral outreach, community building and coaching.

Ella believes in unconditional positive regard for all, truth telling and collaboration. After a mid-life gap year travelling the world with just a rucksack and a journal, she is proud to run the St Benet's community and outreach and says serving the students and staff of Queen Mary is a total joy.
