Disruption to London transport services – Wednesday 7 November

London transport services on the Central and Waterloo & City will be disrupted if potential strike action by certain Tube trade union members goes ahead on Wednesday 7 November. If it goes ahead, the Central and Waterloo & City lines will have very limited or no service throughout the day on Wednesday 7 November, with normal services resuming the next day.

A separate strike on the Piccadilly line planned for Wednesday 7 November and Thursday 8 November has been suspended.

Queen Mary will endeavour to provide a normal service throughout this time. Please check the latest information before travelling at tfl.gov.uk/tube-strike or @TfLTravelAlerts.

Planned strike action: Wednesday 7 November

If the strikes go ahead

  • The Central and Waterloo & City lines will have very limited or no service throughout the day on Wednesday 7 November, with normal services resuming the next day.
  • These stations will be particularly busy during the morning and afternoon peaks and at times may need to close temporarily to prevent overcrowding: Stratford, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Bank, Liverpool Street, Woodford, Mile End, Leytonstone, White City, Ealing Broadway, Oxford Circus, Notting Hill Gate.
  • Interchange stations along the Central and Waterloo & City lines will be much busier than usual.

Key actions

  • Check the Transport for London (TfL) website for live updates before you travel: tfl.gov.uk
  • Look now for alternative routes or methods of transport to get to university.
  • Allow longer journey times as alternative routes and transport methods might be busier than usual.

Planned strikes do not always go ahead, sometimes being called off at the last minute, so please do check the TfL website for updates before you travel.
