Peer Mentors wanted for Students' Union Buddy Scheme

Monday 23 January 2017

Are you looking to get involved in something more during your time at QMUL?

Want to share your knowledge about London and University life?

Need to boost your employability prospects while improving your transferrable skills in communication, organisation and time keeping?

You could do this all while socialising and making new friends, all the while helping a new student settle in to life at Queen Mary. The Students' Union are recruiting current first and second year students to be Peer Mentors as part of the Students’ Union Buddy Scheme.

So if you are a friendly, welcoming student you would be a great mentor and guide to a new student during those first few weeks. All it would involve is an informal two-hour training session and communication with your mentees prior to their arrival in September before meeting them during fresher’s week.

Is this something you think you could do? For more information and to sign up please visit qmsu.org/buddy or email k.mehta @qmul.ac.uk.
