Freshers Concert

In the very first event of the new academic year the ‘Freshers’ Concert’ will feature performances from BL Choir, Orchestra, A Cappella group and soloists.

Sound of Ground

Ground Café, situated behind QMUL Mile End Library, is brought to musical life on specific Wednesdays throughout the year. Chamber Symphonies

The East London Music Group comprise some of the most talented musicians of their generation, all committed to bringing the highest musical standards to London’s vibrant East End. This concert will include a performance of John Adams’ 1992 work Chamber Symphony, for 15 players, alongside a newly-commissioned work by East London composer Robin Haigh. This new work will be inspired by and will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, which took place on 4 October 1936. It will feature narration given by two actors which will explain the story of the day.

In the relaxed atmosphere of Drapers Lounge, Unite Society presents a chilled and jazz-vibe showcase for all its ensembles and artists that have been working throughout the term. The performances include both music and spoken word.
Unite Society embraces a gospel choir, drama, poetry, dance and music workshop. Students from all backgrounds and walks of life make up this Society that was founded ten years ago. From medics to mathematicians and psychologists to engineers, they are a young bunch of talented, fun individuals who continue to grow closer together as a family.
