If you need IT support, there are a number of ways IT Services can help:
- 24/7 helpline: The IT Service Desk provides essential out of hours support for students. If you call the IT Service Desk on 0207 882 8888 outside of 8am-4pm Monday to Friday, including weekends and bank holidays, you will be put through to a NorMAN operator who can offer general advice and help with requests such as password resets, Wi-Fi (eduroam) connection issues, Audio Visual (AV) advice, and login issues to various applications. Our out of hours helpline, known as NorMAN, is run by the University of Northumbria and is used by a number of universities in the UK.
- Student Handbook: IT Services has also published a useful guide to IT services that you will use during your time at QMUL on their website.
- IT support in the Library: IT Services staff will be available in the Library at the Mile End campus until the end of October. Based in the Help Zone, staff will be available to assist with any IT problems, such as connecting to Wi-Fi or setting up your emails
- Coffee with IT: These are drop-in sessions held every Tuesday between 10am and 4pm. To view the schedule and locations, visit the IT Services website. This is an opportunity to be part of an open conversation with the IT Lead team, and to share your thoughts which could help change the way IT services are delivered and potentially enhance your IT experience at QMUL. Please join them for a coffee and a chat. If you have IT issues to raise, please contact the IT Service Desk on 020 7882 8888.
If you have any questions or would like more information about IT Services at QMUL, please contact the IT Services Desk on 0207 882 8888. To raise a ticket online, please go to helpdesk.qmul.ac.uk.
