Results, progression, transcript and re-enrolment information for continuing undergraduate and postgraduate taught students

Summer is here and you may be thinking about when and how you’ll find out your results and what you’ll need to do to re-enrol for September 2016.

Publication of results and progression

Official results and progression outcomes are published via MySIS.  When results are published you will be sent an email to your Queen Mary email address with your results attached.  You will also be able to view them in your MySIS record by clicking on the link in your MySIS in-tray or by viewing them on your 'My Details' page in the ‘Assessment and Progression Information’ section. 

Official, confirmed results and progression outcomes will be published on the below dates:

Undergraduates: 13 July 2016
Postgraduates who are due to be awarded in the summer: 27 July 2016*
All other postgraduates: 4 November 2016**

Your School/Institute may publish provisional results after the School Exam Board (ie before the above dates); however please note that not all do.

*Not all Schools and Institutes consider continuing postgraduates’ results in their summer exam boards.  If they do not, then your official taught module results will be published on 4 November 2016 along with your project/dissertation result. 

** A graduate transcript will be posted to your results address a week to ten days after the official publication date, so please make sure that your results address is up to date on MySIS before this date.


Although continuing students are not automatically sent a transcript of their results, as your results can be viewed on MySIS, you can request a copy from the Student Enquiry Centre after the official publication date if required†.  Please see the Student Enquiry Centre’s Document and Letters webpage to find out how to request a transcript.

Please note, due to provisional results appearing on transcripts whilst they are processed and confirmed at the exam boards, there are periods of time when the Student Enquiry Centre cannot provide academic transcripts.  These dates are:

Undergraduates (non-MBBS & BDS): 1 June – 12 July 2016
Postgraduates†: 1 June – 26 July and 26 September – 3 November 2016
For students taking late summer resits: 26 August – 11 September 2016

†Not all Schools and Institutes consider continuing postgraduates’ results in their summer exam boards.  If they do not, we will not be able to provide you with a transcript until the official publication date of 4 November 2016.

Degree verification

You may be applying for work over the summer and require your student status to be verified.  Information for current and previous students and third parties regarding how to obtain a degree verification can be found on the Student Enquiry Centre’s degree verification webpage. 


For those progressing onto their next development year, you will be emailed separately during early to mid-August about:

  • Your 2016/17 tuition fee invoice
  • How to re-enrol via MySIS

Re-enrolment is an essential requirement for your programme so make sure your contact details are up-to-date and keep an eye on your emails to make sure you don’t miss these important messages. 

You will need to have paid or shown proof of how you will pay your tuition fees (eg, student finance notification letter, QMUL payment plan, sponsorship letter) by the deadline stated in your tuition fee invoice.  Failure to do this will stop you from being able to re-enrol.  For further information, please visit www.qmul.ac.uk/tuitionfees.

Students who need to take late summer resits will be contacted about their tuition fees and re-enrolment after the late summer resit results are published (12 September).
