Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2016

Thursday 31 March 2016

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) opened at QMUL on Tuesday 15 March for all postgraduate taught students.

We are always keen to hear from our students about what we are doing well and also on what we need to improve. The annual PTES, managed by the Higher Education Academy (HEA), is an important mechanism for gathering this feedback from our postgraduate taught students.

You will have been contacted via your QMUL email on Tuesday 15 March by Professor Rebecca Lingwood, Vice-Principal for Student Experience, Teaching and Learning at Queen Mary, encouraging you to complete the PTES. Please do consider taking just a few minutes to complete the survey.

This year, QMUL will donate 50p to charity for every response we receive. We are working with the student fundraising group RAG and all donations will be made to their nominated charities. The nominated charities for Mile End are Richard House Children’s Hospice and St John Ambulance, whilst the Barts & The London nominated charities are SANE, Tiny Tickers and Barts & The London Charity. You can find out more about the RAG fund by visiting www.qmsu.org/rag.

How to complete the PTES
The email from Professor Lingwood includes a link to the survey that is unique to you – click this link to complete the survey.

The survey is open until Sunday 29 May and takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Responses are treated as confidential and the findings we publish, internally and externally, will be aggregated and anonymised.

You can find out more about the survey at www.heacademy.ac.uk/ptes, or how QMUL use your feedback, including last year’s PTES, at my.qmul.ac.uk/surveys/results.

If you have any queries about the survey, please contact Lucy Burrows, Student Surveys Coordinator at QMUL:l.burrows@qmul.ac.uk.

Please take this opportunity to influence future developments and improvements to provision for our postgraduate taught students.
