Three of our students on the QMSU Elite Athlete Programme competed at the BUCS nationals last weekend and came away with two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. The students were up against the best of the best nationally within the higher education sector, and rose to the challenge!
Competing in karate, Kate Karwacinski won gold in the senior women’s under 68kg category in Kumite and bronze in the senior women’s Kata. Also competing in karate, Erato Antoniou won silver in the senior women’s under 55kg category in Kumite. In athletics Lina Nielsen won gold in the women’s 400 meters.
