East London tube, DLR and rail stations change zones for 2016

Friday 8 January 2016

The centre of London has officially spread a little further east, with the capital’s transport authorities rezoning stations near the 2012 Olympics venues to the boundary of zone 2.

Stations near the Olympic Park will change from zone 3 to zone 2/3. Stations affected include Abbey Road, Canning Town, Star Lane, Stratford, Stratford High Street, Stratford International DLR and West Ham.

So, if you usually buy a zone 1-3 travel card to travel to/from these stations and central London you might only need one that covers Zones 1-2
