Update to eduroam Wi-Fi service on 10 December – what to do if you receive a prompt

Due to updates to our eduroam Wi-Fi service taking place at 7am on Thursday 10 December, you may receive a prompt to accept a new certificate when connecting to eduroam for the first time after this change.

Before accepting the new certificate, we ask that you check the details in the prompt are as follows, to confirm that you are connecting to the correct server:

  • Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 devices:

Server thumbprint AC 3B 71 79 CC 09 A9 93 45 66 D6 0C A0 12 9E 7D AE 01 4C F6

  • Apple iPhone and iPad:

radius2.qmul.ac.uk

Testing indicates that Android users should not receive these prompts when presented with the new certificate.
