The Barts and The London Society of Rare Diseases has collaborated with Genomics England to offer QMUL medical students an opportunity to work on the 100,000 Genomes Project. This is a paid role at £13 per hour, and organisers are looking for dedicated students who will be required to examine patient clinical notes and extract relevant information for use in the programme. Preference is given to those in clinical years but it is open to interest for pre-clinical students as well.
It is a fantastic chance to get involved with a pioneering NHS project that will put the UK at the forefront of genomic medicine. The timescale is from now until the end of August and students will be expected to be able to dedicate at least a few days a week to work on the project. If you are interested or require any further information, please email the Rare Diseases Society with your name and year of study to email@example.com.
