Quest Radio embarked on their biggest challenge of the year and hosted a 24 hour live broadcast in aid of the Students’ Union’s RAG nominated charities. Quest-a-thon began at 12pm on Thursday 19 March and ran continuously until the following day, taking song requests for each £1 donation and a ‘truth or dare’ challenge for every £10 in the bank.
Quest’s impressive effort raised a total of £579 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and Orphans in Need, which won them the Student Fundraising Group of the Year award at the annual Union Awards ceremony on Thursday 26 March. Quest was also awarded best Student Media Outlet of the Year, following a record year that has seen their busiest ever schedule, with 24/7 broadcast and over 100 members hosting live shows between 9am-9pm Monday-Friday and 11am-3pm on weekends.
Quest Ratio will be playing in all Union outlets soon, but in the meantime listen live at www.questradio.co.uk.
