This month Tower Hamlets Council are encouraging people to spread the word about the delicious food available on Brick Lane via social media. Using the hashtag #tastebricklane you can receive discounts and offers from other local businesses. To find out more read the information provided by Tower Hamlets Council below:

This March, celebrate the many flavours of Brick Lane. Eat and tweet your way through the many delicious dishes available, and get exclusive discounts and offers from participating restaurants. You could also be in with a chance of winning an iPad.

Tower Hamlets Council and participating restaurants will be taking part in Taste Brick Lane month.

Throughout March, head down to Brick Lane, eat some of the yummy dishes on offer, tell others on social media or in a message about it using #tastebricklane, and reap the benefits of exclusive discounts and offers.

The best images and Tweets will also be in with a chance of winning an iPad.

Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, said: “Whether you’re looking for food, fashion, spice or culture, Brick Lane has it all.

“Trendy independent shops rub shoulders with art galleries, shops, eateries, and some vibrant street art, to make this street a unique and not-to-be-missed area. So make sure you get the chance to go and sample the ambience over a delicious (and discounted) meal this March!”

Deputy Mayor, Cllr Oliur Rahman, who is also cabinet member for employment and enterprise, added: “Brick Lane’s many restaurants have built up a real reputation over the years for offering fantastic food from across the globe. With our Taste Brick Lane campaign we want to get people talking about the food that they’ve eaten there, and give Brick Lane a big boost in terms of footfall.”
