For those of you who are graduating this year career choices may be looming on the horizon. Do not fear, the Careers and Enterprise Service is here!
Some students have an idea of which career they would like to pursue, others have absolutely no idea. Regardless of which stage in the decision making process you’re at, there is no need to panic. Many graduate careers are specifically interested in transferable skills, such as commercial awareness, numerical ability or leadership skills. So rather than consider career paths which seamlessly lead on from your degree instead think about what motivates you, what you’re good at, what you want out of your career and what kind of people you would like to help and work with. The choices you make about your career are never set in stone, in fact many people change career paths throughout their lives, however it is important to be asking the right questions now to set you up for a happy and fulfilled professional life.
