With the support of UKIERI, The British Council will be creating 400 places for young people in the UK to undertake cultural immersion placements as part of Generation UK-India.
This year, there will be four different two week placements:
- one focussing on manufacturing in India from high-end technology to rural artisan traders
- one aimed at young entrepreneurs giving an insight into digital India
- two study immersion placements giving an overall introduction to living, studying and working in India.
Applications for placements can be submitted during the second week of February with the first deadline for applications on 15 April. Updated and finalised information including overviews of each placement type and final eligibility criteria will be on the Cultural Immersion in India website once applications launch.
