Monday 12 January 2015
Transport for London (TfL) have informed us that the Unite union has announced a 24-hour strike on London bus services tomorrow, Tuesday 13 January. If this strike goes ahead, TfL say that bus services across London will be affected between 00.01am and 11.59pm on Tuesday. The strike will mean patchy services, with some areas affected more than others and with night bus services operating on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning also being affected. Buses during the day on Wednesday 14 January should operate as normal.
All other TfL services will operate as normal, but you should allow more time to complete your journey. Although London Underground, the DLR and London Overground should be operating as normal, the bus strike may result in an increased number of passengers using these services. TfL have advised that bus and tram pass season tickets will be accepted on Tube, DLR and London Overground services via reasonable routes.
Planned strikes do not always go ahead, sometimes being called off at the last minute, so please do check the TfL website before you travel for live updates.
