QMUL’s first conference for its Life Sciences Initiative takes place on 15-16 December and it’s free for students to attend, but you need to register by Sunday 7 December.
The Life Sciences Initiative cuts across all three of the university’s Faculties, and this is reflected in the exciting programme for the event, which takes place at the new Royal London Dental Hospital Education Academy in Whitechapel.
Keynote speakers include: Professor Susan Lea (University of Oxford), Professor Tim Hubbard (Genomics England), Professor Anne Kerr (University of Leeds), Dr Philippe Sanseau (GlaxoSmithKline), Professor Tim Spector (King’s College London) and Professor Douglas Kell (University of Manchester).
They will be talking on topics ranging from genomics, computational biology, data and drug discovery, to disease susceptibility and relations with patients, the public and professionals.
Full details, including the conference programme and how to register, are on the Life Sciences website.
Last, but not least, all registered delegates are welcome to attend the drinks reception on Monday 15 December from 17.15-20.00 hrs. A great networking opportunity!
