IT Pop-up Clinic
From Monday 12 September to Friday 26 September at the Mile End and Whitechapel Library, IT will be running ‘IT Pop-Up Clinics’. Members of IT staff will be available from 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday, to help you with all your IT queries.

You can check if there are any known IT service issues across all campuses by checking: status.its.qmul.ac.uk.

2. Wi-Fi and finding an available PC on campus
With your QMUL username and password you can connect to the ‘eduroam’ wireless network, our preferred method for wi-fi access. It is secure and will not require you to sign in each time you want to access the Internet. It is available across all campuses and is also accessible at other participating institutions. Follow the set up instructions: www.its.qmul.ac.uk/network-services/Eduroam.

QMUL has an extensive network of PCs available for student use. If the Libraries are busy you can go to one of the many computer labs across campus. You can check PC availability at: availability.stu.qmul.ac.uk

3. Print service
Printers are available in all student service managed labs, the Hive and the libraries, the library devices can also photocopy and scan. Printing, photocopying and Library fines are all paid for using your QMUL iPay account, which is linked to your College ID card.

Please note: all printers print double-sided unless you change the settings. For more information or to access your QMUL iPay account, visit: www.library.qmul.ac.uk/node/572
Avoid the PC queues and print wirelessly. You can also send your documents to a QMUL printer from anywhere with web access, and pick them up within 24 hours without having to queue. For more information visit: www.library.qmul.ac.uk/it_photocopying/wireless_printing.

For professional printing, photocopying, binding services and much more, visit the CopyShop located on Mile End campus. For more details, go to: copyshop.qmul.ac.uk

4. Email
QM uses Microsoft Office 365 for student email and calendaring. You have 25GB of storage and can easily set up your personal computer and mobile devices to pick up your QMUL email. For more information and to access your email visit: www.qmul.ac.uk/mail

Official QMUL communications to students are sent to QMUL email accounts, so it is important you check it regularly.

5. Online learning and lecture recordings
QMplus is our online learning environment. It contains a wealth of resources and activities that you are likely to use to support your studies. To access QMplus, visit: qmplus.qmul.ac.uk. There are also a number of video tutorials to help get you started and get the most out of QMplus.
