Would you like to give future students a first-hand perspective of life as a Queen Mary student? If so, you might want to consider participating in our Student Blogs project. Currently we have around 25 students from around QMUL blogging about what they get up to on their course, and much more – such as London life, getting involved in university life, work experience and top tips. Blogging is a great addition to your CV and can help you develop your writing style.
As a student blogger, you will be blogging on behalf of your school and you would be expected to blog around once a month, but you can obviously blog more regularly than this! Your school will be able to discuss with you on topics you might want to focus on at certain points in the year.
Blogging guidelines and further information about writing style and format is available in the following document:
To become a student blogger we would like you to write a blog of 400 words on a topic of your choice that you think would be interesting to a student who might be considering studying at Queen Mary – this could be anything from a trip you went on as part of your course, some volunteering or work experience you did, or a great experience you had in London – such as a concert, or even just finding a really great restaurant or area of London that you’ve never been to before!
Please submit your blogs, or any questions you have about the project, via email to Laura Knowles, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for applications is Saturday 31 May 2014.
