Help in the fight against cancer – volunteer for the Barts Cancer Institute charity challenges!

Wednesday 30 April 2014

This summer the Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is taking part in three major sporting events to raise money for their cancer research. BCI charity runners will be competing in the British 10K on Sunday 13 July, the London Triathlon on Saturday 2 to Sunday 3 August and the Thames Path Challenge on Saturday 13 to Sunday 14 September. To ensure these events are successful and enjoyable, we need volunteers to help us promote and facilitate on the day. Find out how you can get involved!

100% of the money raised will go towards developing better diagnostic techniques and treatments of cancer at the BCI labs, and you can help make a difference!

From promoting our events to being our local fundraising champions; from cheering people on at a race to capturing special moments on the camera, we have the perfect volunteering opportunity for you. The current volunteering openings are as follows:

Event Facilitators
Event Photographers
Sports Masseuses
BCI Student Liaisons

These are great opportunities to gain experience in charity fundraising and project management. The success of the BCI charity challenges relies on your time and skills – and we want you to be on our team!
