The Barts Student Neuroscience Symposium will take place on Wednesday 12 February at the Whitechapel campus. Inaugurated last year, it celebrates the growing strength of neuroscience at QM and the advances in this field. More than 50 undergraduates and masters' students from across the country will present posters. The keynote speakers include Richard Frackowiak, head of medical applications at the billion-dollar Human Brain Project and David Clayton, recently arrived at Queen Mary from the University of Illinois. Almost 200 tickets have already been sold, but there are still tickets available: www.qmblsymposium.com.
To widen participation, the event will be live-streamed. Gabriel Doctor, co-Chair of the Symposium, says: "Roll up and get your tickets for what promises to be a day of wonder and excitement about neuroscience and the secrets it's unlocking."
