Monday 8 April 2013
The UK Border Agency introduced new immigration forms and fees on 6 April 2013. If you are an international student and are in the middle of completing an immigration application, you can use the current form (version 10/12), so long as you submit your immigration application on or before 27 April 2013. If you submit your immigration application on or after 06 April 2013, you must pay the new fee, whichever version of the form you use. You may find it simpler to complete a new form.
New fees for Tier 4 Student immigration applications made in the UK on or after 06 April 2013 are as follows:
Standard (postal): £406
Premium (in person): £781
Standard (postal): £305
Premium (in person): £680
More information about the new forms and fees can be found on the UK Border Agency’s website: www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsarticles/2013/march/45-april-fees.
In addition to the new forms and fees, we understand that UKBA will be continuing the roll out of their new "Print and Send" forms. You will still be able to use the paper form until further notice, however you may find the "Print and Send" forms easier to use.
You can find guidance and resources, including videos, to help you make an immigration application on the Advice and Counselling Service website: www.welfare.qmul.ac.uk/international/immigration.
