Friday 1 March 2013
QM has significant teaching and research partnerships with the Beijing University of Post & Telecommunications (BUPT), Nanchang University, and Sichuan University. QM is extending the chance to spend the summer in China to our home students. We sent our first intrepid group of five to Nanchang in 2012, where they taught a bit of English, learnt a bit of Chinese, and got a fantastic taste of life on the other side of the world.
This year the opportunity is to join the Sichuan University International Students Summer Camp. There are 20 places available, four of which will be fully funded at no cost to the student and 16 of which will be part-funded. The part-funded places will cover the costs in China including food, accommodation and lessons in Chinese language and culture and more, but most participants must find their own funds to cover the cost of flights, visas and travel insurance. The four full funded places will be awarded on a competitive basis.
You need to apply by Friday 22 March, and be able to travel between 30 June - 21 July. Click here for more information about the opportunity and how to apply: http://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/exchange/summerinchina/index.html
