The British Council managed Hammond Trust accepts applications for grants to assist with living expenses from overseas students studying in the UK. The funding is to be used to help students complete the last six months of a course of study, or complete a piece of research that has unavoidably overrun, and the student is therefore struggling to finance their time in the UK. The Trust does not make any payments towards tuition fees and grants are for living expenses only.
Students from the following countries are eligible to apply:
|Azerbaijan||Georgia||Korea DPR (North)||Oman||Taiwan|
|Bangladesh||Hong Kong||Korea Rep. of (South)||Pakistan||Tajikistan|
|Burma (Myanmar)||Iraq||Macau||Russia||United Arab Emirates|

If you are interested in applying to the Hammond Trust, and you meet the criteria set out above, we encourage you to make an appointment to see an adviser at the QM Advice and Counselling Service first. They can advise you about your application, help you to make your application and, if appropriate, write a letter for you to send with your application. They can also advise you about QM hardship funds that you may be eligible to apply for. Contact details for the Advice and Counselling Service are at: http://www.welfare.qmul.ac.uk/contact/index.html
