Student Volunteering Week - 11-15 February

QMSU Volunteering have organised Student Volunteering Week from Monday 11 – Friday 15 February at the Mile End campus. They have 12 charities coming onto campus, three one-off volunteering opportunities you can sign up to, and two training sessions.

One-day volunteering:
Marshall a Pancake Race! Tuesday 12 February, 11:30-1:30
Clean-Up Regents Canal! Wednesday 13 February, 1:30 - 3:30
Marshalling a Mini-Marathon: Thursday 14 February, 11:45 - 3:30

Presenting Volunteering to Potential Employers: Wednesday 13 February, 2-3pm
Training: Supporting People with Learning Disabilities: Thursday 14 February, 1-2pm 
Charities on Campus:
Chat to our charities to find out more and get involved in volunteering. With a wide range of charities involved, there is going to be something for you, from tutoring, community involvement, supporting the elderly, blind, deaf, disabled, or children, helping run events, or office based volunteering roles. The charities will be in the SU Hub (behind Ground café and underneath The Hive) from 11.30am to 1.30pm on the below days. Please come along if you are interested in volunteering or finding out more.
Monday 11 February: St Hilda's Community Centre, Starfish Greathearts, & RNIB.
Tuesday 12 February: Generating Genius, Action Tutoring & Tower Hamlets Community Champions.
Thursday 14 February: Maggie’s Cancer Charities, The Arbour & Oxford House
Friday 15 February: Action on Hearing Loss & Age UK

International Volunteering Fair
The International Volunteering Fair is taking place on Tuesday 12 February, from 12-2pm in the Students’ Union Hub. The fair is a great chance for students interested in volunteering overseas to find out more about the range of opportunities available.
