QM Careers Centre is hosting two unique events in January. Start Up Stand Up takes place on Tuesday 29 January and its aim is to promote Start Ups and SMEs and inspire you to turn your business ideas into a reality. On Thursday 31 January QM and QMSU jointly host our first ever Media Summit focusing on careers in journalism and the media. Great speakers are already signed up for both events so book your place now!
Start Up Stand Up is a semi regular event aimed at promoting opportunities in Start Ups and SMEs and helping to inspire Queen Mary Students to get involved with starting their own business.
For this month's session QM Enactus and QM Careers Centre have teamed up to bring together a range of speakers who will be giving short and fun talks about their experiences in working with businesses with a social conscience.

The inaugural Queen Mary, University of London Media Summit looks at Journalism and takes place at 6pm on Thursday 31 January.
This event is aimed at students looking to find out more about opportunities to get involved with student media and also about opportunities post degree. You'll get the opportunity to hear about current issues affecting the media, and hints on how to build a career from alumni and other industry professionals.
