Did you enjoy the Sports Clubs and Societies Launch event at the Copper Box? Have you visited the new Drapers2 space? Medics and Dentists have you signed-up to help a teddy bear clean his teeth? You might be surprised to hear that all of these projects and many others have been supported by gifts from former students and staff who remembered the great student days they had at Queen Mary and want to help current and future students by giving something back through donating to the Annual Fund.
Over 25 projects this year have shared more than £175,000 in grants from the Annual Fund. Each project will have an impact. In future issues of QM Student we’ll keep you informed on what’s happening with the Annual Fund.
Become an Annual Fund caller
Are you a good talker and a good listener? Are you persuasive? How enthusiastic are you about Queen Mary and your time here and can you convey that message? The QM Development and Alumni Directorate is currently recruiting 40 paid student callers to help raise more than £200,000 for this year’s Annual Fund.
Paying up to £10.07 per hour you will need to commit to four calling sessions per week (evenings and weekends) throughout November. You will also need to attend two training days (2 and 3 November). You will be talking to former students who will be expecting your call.
