Course Reps - your chance to improve the student experience

Thursday 19 September 2013

The Students’ Union is looking for students to put themselves forward to become either a Course Rep or to run in the By-election for one of a variety of positions.

What is a Course Rep?
Every year of each course needs a Course Rep; this is your chance to become yours.  Course Reps are responsible for talking to students and finding out what they like and don’t like and then letting the University know.

So why should I become a Course Rep?
If you become a Course Rep you will have the opportunity to make a real difference, and you will also get to meet new people, develop skills and enhance your employability skills.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in then visit www.qmsu.org/coursereps for more information. Nominations close at 4pm on Wednesday 2 October.

What is the By-election?

The Students’ Union is also running a By-election to elect the remaining positions on its Student Council. Student Council is responsible for setting policy for the Students’ Union and deciding on what we will be campaigning on for you. This is a unique opportunity and the available positions include:

Mile End positions:
First Year Representative (Mile End)
Postgraduate Taught Representative (Mile End)

Barts and The London positions:
First Year Representative (Barts and The London)
Postgraduate Research Representative (Barts and The London)
Postgraduate Taught Representative (Barts and The London)
LGBT Representative (Barts and The London)

If you would like to play an active role in the Students’ Union and want to run for one of the above positions visit www.qmsu.org/elections for more information. Nominations close at 4pm on Wednesday 2 October.
