London Chamber Ochestra - £5 tickets up for grabs!

Wednesday 28 November 2012

QM is working closely with London Chamber Orchestra (LCO) on a project called  'LCO New: Explore project ‘Inspired by Digital', which is a study day, workshop and concert sequence that aims to forge new connections between composers, state-of-the-art technologies, performers, and listeners. As part of this collaboration LCO are offering students the chance to purchase £5 tickets to their concert on Wednesday 12 December.

£5 tickets

LCO has invited members of the QM community to join them for £5 for the best seats available at their concert on Wednesday 12 December at Cadogan Hall. Conducted by Christopher Warren-Green, the LCO presents Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 1 and Mozart’s Mass in C minor. Joining the Orchestra will be Anna Lucia Richter and Helena Juntunen singing soprano, Nicky Spence as tenor, Matthew Treviño in bass and the LCO Singers.

If you would like to attend, please contact Mercedes Malcomson by emailing mercedes@lco.co.uk or by calling 020 3397 1298, stating that you are a QM student. This invitation is limited, so please register early. Tickets usually cost £28, £22 or £15 depending on the seat location. LCO is a not-for-profit organisation.

More information about the LCO and the 2012/13 programme is on the website: www.lco.co.uk.

Are you a budding composer?

QM's Centre for Digital Music and LCO are looking for budding composers to help play with their new music technologies and create new songs and compositions with them. If you could print the attached poster for display, or forward this to groups or people who may be interested, that would be great.

Everyone is also invited to an event on 1 December in the People’s Palace where QM researchers will play the "instruments", and world-famous contemporary composers will be on hand to help.

More information is available on Connect.
