We would like to invite Indian students to represent our college in an interview for ITN taking place tomorrow, Thursday 22 November at 3pm.

If you think you will be able to make it, please contact Ms Emma Lowry, e.lowry@qmul.ac.uk  07815 902560 as soon as possible with your mobile telephone number and to confirm that you can attend and report to the Student Union reception in Mile End Campus before 3pm. Further details and directions can be obtained from Emma Lowry directly.

About the interview:

Queen Mary is part of the London Universities International Partnership (LUIP), which is working with the Mayor of London.

Boris Johnson will be going to India later this month to promote anglo Indian education partnerships with LUIP. LUIP has set up a website for Indian students to provide them with links to Indian employers when students return home after a UK education.

Prof. Evelyn Welch, Vice-Principal (Research & International Affairs) at QM is part of a delegation going to India this month with Mayor Boris Johnson.

The news channel ITN would like to speak to QMs Indian students who can talk about the positive experiences of studying in London and briefly to talk about their difficulties/apprehensions of entering the job market back at home and how the website may help alleviate this.

Students will need to be available for interview just before 3pm on Thursday 22 November. Emma Lowry would be happy to brief you beforehand. The interviews are taking place in the Student Hub (in QM Student Union). Students should report to the SU reception in the first instance.

We hope to hear from you!
