Queen Mary, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police, have arranged a free cycle marking session on Wednesday 14 November, 2-4pm at Floyer House, Whitechapel Campus. Cycle marking allows you to have your cycle marked, providing immediate identification should your cycle be stolen and subsequently recovered by the Police. It also provides a deterrent as marked cycles are not easily sold on.
The period leading up to Christmas sees an increase in cycle thefts so if you have not already had your cycle marked, come along with your bike, meet the team and have your cycle marked with your unique identification mark.
The Police will also providing essential advice on cycle locks and security.
