Student update: Yellow warning issued for snow and ice

2 March 2018

Dear students,

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice affecting southern parts of England and west Wales, which is causing disruption to transport and walking conditions in many areas. Please check before you travel, allow more time for your journey and take care.

The campus will continue to remain open as usual, and activities will still run as planned. Unless you have been told otherwise by your School or Institute, please aim to attend as you would usually.

Key actions

  • Check before you travel, and allow more time as your journey may take longer: https://tfl.gov.uk/.
  • Try looking for an alternative routes or methods of transport to get to university in case your usual journey is disrupted.
  • Keep up to date with the weather conditions – the Met Office is issuing regular updates via their website or Twitter: metoffice.gov.uk  / #weatheraware/ follow @metofficeUK.

Best wishes,

Laura
