Congratulations to Matt Kay, Queen Mary film studies alumnus, whose short film Little Miss Sumo screened as part of the ‘London Calling’ session at the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday 18 October.
This is a session featuring a selection of new shorts from some of the capital’s most exciting upcoming filmmakers, supported by Film London.
Matt's film features female sumo wrestling champion Hiyori as she embarks on a remarkable journey, confronting obstacles both inside and outside the ring in an attempt to help change Japan's national sport forever.
